With a huge diversity in art and stories, this book does a beautiful job in capturing many of the numerous, very different, Puerto Rican perspectives scattered across the Americas. As a Puerto Rican who grew up away from the island but was inundated in its culture and surrounded by so many different Puerto Ricans from different backgrounds, I not only saw myself in this book but also saw so many of the people and families I grew up with. Never have I felt so seen and never have I felt a book so beautifully capture the complexity of what it means to be Boricua in this day and age. *NOTE* While it never claims to be, this book is not an accurate source of info about the Taino people.
