You can help the North American radical book trade by donating to Left Bank Books. We once had a distribution project that provided a host of titles from independent political publishers in the US and abroad. In 1999 the warehouse was closed as it was no longer flush, operating at a loss for its creditors beyond reasonable hope for recovery (let's just mention domination of book retail by three corporate giants deep-discounting nearly every title available didn't help). Those creditors continue to receive payment from Left Bank Distribution today. Left Bank Books sustains itself, but only donations from those concerned about making small press titles and hard-to-find radical titles continually available make LBD payments available to great presses who continue to provide important titles.
